Introducing... Nathan Bowen

Nathan Bowen, aged 23, is a street artist from South East London. His most popular works are included in his 'AfterLives' series, portraying demons as a backdrop for pieces relating to political activitism and avant-garde.

Born in Catford, South East London, Nathan has been inspired from a young age to create his own inspired drawing and paintings, often being quoted as saying 'I don't look to others for inspiration, I draw it from my head, and whatever comes out, comes out'.
After graduating with honours from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, Nathan has put about himself creating pieces in London's culture block of East London, creating pieces that can be seen as political and avant-garde, and seems to be the only artist in London using marker pens as opposed to the paint or spray cans to convey his message.

Unlike many other street artists, Nathan walks alone, and often operates during the day under the guise of a high-vis jacket to avoid the possiblity of confrentation from law enforcement.

As well as being a talented artist, Nathan is also a part of hip-hop collective Mekred 5.4, of whom he has been a member for the past 3 years, and are currently working on their 3rd indie album.

After already featuring on a number of blogs and forums on the Internet, this is the first blog completely dedicated to Nathan's work and activites.

Explore the blog to find links of Nathan's work as well as all previous and future worked being posted on the blog.
